What you will be doing

Wet Line Machine Operator

The Wet Line Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Heavy Media Plant (HMP) wet processing line. Duties include monitoring plant performance, operating machinery and control systems, maintaining product quality standards, conducting routine inspections, clearing blockages, and reporting equipment faults. The operator will ensure all production targets, housekeeping standards, and health & safety requirements are met while working closely with the production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the HMP wet processing line safely and efficiently.

Conduct pre-start checks and routine plant inspections.

Monitor product quality and make operational adjustments as required.

Identify and report equipment defects, breakdowns, or safety concerns.

Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping activities.

Complete production and operational records accurately.

Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience operating industrial processing or recycling equipment preferred.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Flexible approach to work and willingness to support the wider production team

The face of EMR, you’ll help to make the EMR experience enjoyable and easy for our customers.

Once they’ve handed over their unwanted materials, you’ll be the hero in a hard hat that gets it loaded up, transported across the site, unloaded and processed.

Our machinery does all the really tough stuff for us, so we need you to regularly check to make sure it’s all working as it should be.

And our Depot Manager will think of you as their right-hand person, knowing they can call on you for support.
