As part of our Product Development team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the driving experience by leading the design, development, and production implementation of high-quality interior components and systems. Working at the intersection of design, engineering, and manufacturing, you will transform innovative concepts into production-ready vehicles - ensuring superior craftsmanship, safety, ergonomics, and cost efficiency. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional global teams and supplier partners to deliver exceptional products that inspire customer confidence and elevate brand quality.

You'll have...

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Typically 3 to 5+ years of experience in automotive product engineering, specifically focused on body interior systems or component design.

Practical experience with 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX) and familiarity with CAE analysis and vehicle packaging studies.

Solid knowledge of vehicle interior manufacturing processes, plastic injection molding, interior materials, ergonomics, and automotive safety/regulatory standards.

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and quality control frameworks (DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP).

Effective project management skills and strong cross-functional communication abilities with English proficiency.

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Business Administration.

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Advanced proficiency with surface modeling in CATIA or Siemens NX.

Experience leading automotive assembly plant launch support and supplier technical readiness reviews.

What you'll do...

Lead the end-to-end design, development, validation, and production release of vehicle interior components and systems from initial concept through full vehicle launch.

Collaborate with design studio, craftsmanship, and ergonomics teams to develop master sections and ensure aesthetic concepts are feasible for manufacturing and assembly.

Conduct computer-aided engineering (CAE) studies, package studies, and 3D CAD reviews in partnership with suppliers to optimize component fit, finish, structure, and performance.

Direct technical supplier engagements, overseeing component Statements of Work (SOW), Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Part Production Approval Processes (PPAP).

Manage and maintain accurate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data, Bills of Materials (BOM), and engineering change management records to achieve cost, weight, and timing targets.

Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving (utilizing 8D and Six Sigma methodologies) during prototype builds and plant launches to resolve engineering, quality, and fit/finish issues.
