Engineering Manager, Search Platforms

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript).

3 years of experience in a people management and 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.

5 years of experience working in a complex organization.

Experience leading through technical and organizational complexity.

Experience with Java, C++, or both.

Passion for technology, collaboration, and solving challenging problems.

Responsibilities

Work at the very center of Search and be comfortable to operate in a fast changing environment by challenging the status quo, staying scrappy while ensuring the team is hustling.

Interact with AI systems to drive productivity and achieve desired outcomes and inform strategic decisions for yourself and your team.

Define scope and impact of the team with other technical leads, and communicate broadly. Establish clear responsibility boundaries for people and teams .

Support the health of your team proactively (e.g. psychological safety, timely conflict resolution, openness, and collaboration) as well as your partner teams.
