The Role

We're looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in London.

You'll become part of a collaborative team of eight Software Engineers responsible for the continued evolution of ABIDE—our flagship platform used by leading financial institutions.

Our technology stack includes:

· Backend: Python, Django, PostgreSQL

· Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js

· Cloud: Microsoft Azure

· CI/CD & Infrastructure

This role will play a pivotal part in designing, building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and engineering tooling. You'll help shape our DevOps strategy, improve developer productivity and ensure our applications are deployed securely, reliably and efficiently.

Alongside platform engineering responsibilities, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to backend development where appropriate, particularly around automation and infrastructure-related Python development.

Key Accountabilities:

Design, implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

Build, automate and manage cloud infrastructure primarily within Microsoft Azure.

Improve deployment processes, release automation and engineering workflows.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to ensure scalable and repeatable environments.

Monitor application performance, reliability and system health across development and production environments.

Implement security best practices throughout the deployment lifecycle.

Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to improve development workflows and platform capabilities.

Support containerisation and orchestration technologies were appropriate.

Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term improvements to platform stability.

Contribute to backend development tasks, particularly Python-based automation and infrastructure tooling.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability and operational efficiency.

Document infrastructure, deployment processes and technical standards.

We're looking for someone who brings a combination of cloud infrastructure, automation and software engineering experience.

Candidate Requirements:

3-5 years’ experience as a Devops, Software and/or Platform Engineer.

Strong working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design.

Proven track record of using and deploying cloud services within Azure (Ideally) or within AWS/GCP.

Experience working with API's and webapps.

Python Automation experience, development experience is a nice to have but not a must have requirement.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work well with ambiguity and keen to take
