Job Summary

Our 2-Year Operations Engineering Graduate Development Program is designed to build the next generation of aerospace manufacturing talent by first developing strong operational foundations, followed by broader engineering and cross-functional capability exposure.

Unlike traditional graduate programs that focus immediately on technical specialization, this program intentionally begins with immersive shopfloor operational experience. We believe engineers who understand how products are built, how operations flow, and how problems are solved on the production floor will become stronger technical experts, better collaborators, and more effective future leaders.

This program supports our transformation journey towards advanced manufacturing and Factory of the Future capabilities in Singapore.

Year 1 – Operational Immersion & Manufacturing Foundation

Graduates will undergo a comprehensive 12-month shopfloor immersion across Collins manufacturing operations to develop firsthand operational experience and manufacturing discipline.

Key exposure areas include:

CNC machining, assembly, and special processes

Daily operations management and production execution

Manufacturing flow and disruption management

Aerospace quality systems awareness (AS9100 / NADCAP)

Productivity improvement and waste reduction initiatives

OEE and operational performance analysis

Root cause investigation and corrective actions

Continuous improvement projects and Lean practices

Safety, quality, and compliance execution

Year 2 – Engineering & Cross-Functional Development Rotation

After building strong operational foundations, graduates will rotate across key functions to broaden their technical, business, and systems understanding.

Graduates will be assigned real business projects aligned to:

Quality improvement

Productivity enhancement

Delivery performance

Process optimization

Digital manufacturing initiatives

Factory of the Future transformation priorities
