About the role

Job ID: 110617

London

Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.

YOUR IMPACT

You will manage a diverse portfolio of countries with a primary focus on the United States. Working alongside an experienced Director and Manager, you will help design, implement, and oversee strategic structures that deliver Partner awards tax-efficiently while strictly aligning with the firm’s global tax risk standards.

You will act as a trusted advisor to Partners on their award delivery. This includes taking ownership of specific country-level requirements and managing day-to-day, direct interactions with Partners to address their tax-related inquiries.

You will closely coordinate with the Corporate Tax, Employment Tax, and Mobility Tax groups to ensure that global strategies are successfully refined and properly implemented.

You will foster strong internal partnerships with local office Finance teams and central corporate support functions (including Legal, Treasury, Benefits, and Finance) to guarantee that all award deliveries execute smoothly as planned.

You will take a lead role in managing local tax audits concerning Partner awards and tax delivery. Additionally, you will provide critical technical support and project leadership on strategic, multi-country initiatives spanning the wider across the tax function.

Your role is key in managing McKinsey’s global Partner population, ensuring excellent client service and advisory support to our Partners and mitigating risks associated with individual taxes across our global operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders within the firm to deliver exceptional tax expertise to both our Partners and the wider firm.

You will join the Partner Tax Group, a critical team responsible for ensuring the tax-efficient, accurate, and seamless delivery of awards to the firm's global Partner Group. This group is comprised of over 3,000 senior employees across approximately 70 countries who jointly own the firm. To achieve this, the team works in highly collaborative partnerships with key internal departments - including Payroll, Benefits, Legal, HR, Accounting, and Finance - as well as external advisors.
