Job Summary

CTWI’s Advising for Future-Ready Students program encourages applications for a temporary project coordinator! Our program prepares counselors, educators, and others in student advising roles to support students in navigating technology across educational, career, and social/emotional domains. By sharing information and support, students are better positioned to explore how technology intersects with their passions to open a world of opportunities.

The CTWI organization is part of the College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado-Boulder. It spans both university staffing, financial and legal procedures, and in addition, receives funding from a non-profit 501(c)(3), to implement financial, legal, and governance procedures on its behalf.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

The Advising for Future-Ready Students Project Coordinator will plan and coordinate projects including workshops, webinars, conferences and other engagements, to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and meet project goals. Specific activities include:

Coordinate and lead numerous projects including workshops, webinars, conferences and other engagements using the organization's project management system.

Contribute to the maintenance of the program database, website, tracking systems, and records.

Set and negotiate deadlines, and prioritize tasks within and between multiple projects.

Coordinate tasks on projects with the Future-Ready team as consistent with their roles/responsibilities.

Serve as a point of contact for the Future-Ready team when multiple individuals are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain collaborative.

Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.

Identify and communicate potential barriers to project completion and outline potential solutions.

Adjust schedules and targets on projects as needed or financing for the project change.

Prepare weekly project status reports by capturing, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.

Measure project performance (total time spent on project, percentage of tasks completed on time, achievement delivery, etc.) to identify areas for improvement.

Coordinate the development of project management manuals, training materials, and other documents to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to others.

Monitor and maintain Future-Ready’s customer service and helpdesk systems.

Prepare weekly agenda items for team meetings- including tasks that are essential, overdue, and due within the next 5-7 business days to discuss as needed.

Attend weekly virtual meetings and as requested by the Future-Ready Team.

Other activities and tasks as assigned.

What You Should Know

This is a remote, temporary position working approximately 30 hours per week.

What We Can Offer

The hire rate for this position will be $28.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with one year or more of related professional experience. Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute.

Strong communication and time management skills.

Ability to delegate tasks effectively.

What We Would Like You to Have

Working knowledge and experience with Project Management software and databases

Project Management Certification or relevant experience

Experience with Wrike and Airtable management systems

Experience in nonprofit mission driven organization
