We are currently seeking a Jira Planning Agent to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title: Jira Planning Agent Agile Automation Specialist

Role Purpose

Design and develop an AI-enabled Jira Planning Agent that transforms Change Requests (CRs), intake forms, BRDs, emails, and stakeholder inputs into structured Jira delivery artefacts including Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, Sub-tasks, and Acceptance Criteria, with review and approval controls prior to publishing.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement CR intake mechanisms using Excel, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, Power Apps, or conversational AI agents.

Develop agent-driven requirement elicitation workflows that identify and gather missing information through guided questioning before generating Jira artefacts.

Convert business requirements and CR inputs into structured Jira Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Sub-tasks.

Generate detailed descriptions, business outcomes, acceptance criteria, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and priority recommendations.

Integrate with Jira APIs to create, update, link, and track delivery artefacts following human approval.

Define traceability mappings between Change Requests, Epics, Features, Stories, Defects, and Application/Service records.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Application Owners, and delivery teams to establish Jira artefact standards, governance, quality, and traceability.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in Jira workflows, issue types, custom fields, automation, permissions, and REST APIs.

Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Definition of Ready/Done.

Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Excel, Forms, SharePoint, and API integrations.

Proven ability to translate business change requests and requirements into actionable Agile backlog items.

Experience designing approval workflows, governance controls, and audit trails for automated Jira publishing.
