Your Lovisa Opportunity:

As the Planning Manager, you will lead the merchandise planning function, driving inventory strategy, forecasting and commercial planning to maximise sales, profitability and stock efficiency across our global business. Working closely with Buying, Finance, Merchandising and Supply Chain, you'll ensure the right products are available at the right time while balancing commercial performance, inventory investment and customer demand. This is a highly collaborative leadership role that combines strategic planning with hands-on analysis, continuous improvement and team development.

About the role:

Lead the end-to-end merchandise planning function, ensuring inventory investment aligns with business objectives.

Own the Open-to-Buy (OTB) strategy, managing stock investment, stock turn and inventory performance.

Analyse sales, inventory and range performance to identify opportunities and drive profitable commercial decisions.

Develop accurate short, medium and long-term demand forecasts to support business growth and financial targets.

Manage order quantities and purchase planning, balancing demand, lead times, supplier constraints and inventory risk.

Monitor inventory health, including ageing stock, markdown exposure, safety stock and stock availability.

Partner closely with Buying, Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver effective inventory and assortment strategies.

Support new product launches, seasonal collections and new store openings with effective inventory planning.

Drive continuous improvement of planning systems, reporting, forecasting accuracy and business processes.

Produce and maintain reporting, KPIs and insights to support data-driven decision making.

Lead, coach and develop the Planning team, fostering a high-performing and commercially focused culture.

Ensure planning activities align with supply chain capabilities, production schedules and logistics requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, increase agility and reduce forecasting errors across the business.

About you:

Proven experience in merchandise planning, inventory management or a similar commercial planning role within a retail environment.

Strong understanding of Open-to-Buy (OTB), stock turn, inventory management and replenishment strategies.

Highly skilled in demand forecasting, sales analysis and inventory planning, with the ability to turn data into commercial insights.

Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting and inventory investment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using planning, forecasting and reporting systems.

A strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term planning with day-to-day operational priorities.

Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing planning teams.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking opportunities to enhance processes, systems and planning capabilities.
