Job Summary:

The Equity Finance team are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our team in Belfast. Citi is embarking on a bold multi-year transformation for the Prime Services business. If you are someone that can work in a fast-paced environment with a pragmatic approach to delivery and diligence, then please look to apply for this role. You will need to employ strong communication skills, ensure a first-class service of quality to our internal clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java and SQL, with proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts through the use of practices such as BDD.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and work within a BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) automation framework.

Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, test estimation, regression testing, test automation development, and other project artifacts.

Acting as a quality gate and identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs before software products are delivered to our clients.

Implementation and execution of API based automation test for functional and non-functional testing using Citi approved tools.

Identifying and highlighting ways to continuously optimize the way in which QA function operates to create an efficient, scalable team.

Work with the business and Production Support to investigate issues and prevent production defects.

Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

Together with the team contribute to innovative & best-in-class solutions for our business.

Apply proven software testing concepts and methodologies to daily tasks.

Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues.

Adapt to changing business needs and effectively shift focus on priorities as required.

Required Qualifications:

Proven industry experience in automation testing with strong hands-on experience in Java.

Solid experience with BDD automation frameworks (Cucumber).

Strong hands-on experience in API automation/testing.

Prior experience in the usage of SQL for database validation and testing.

Fair working knowledge of CI/CD process, Jenkins, Git, etc

Excellent logical, analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to the Finance industry or a background in financial applications is a significant advantage.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
