About the role

Job Description: Key Responsibilities

1. Reporting & Visualization

Develop and maintain SSRS reports (tabular, matrix, drill-through, and parameterized reports)

Implement data visualization best practices (KPI cards, trend analysis, RAG indicators)

Optimize reports for performance and usability

2. Data Integration & ETL

Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes

Extract data from multiple sources (SQL Server, APIs, flat files)

Perform data transformation, cleansing, and loading into reporting databases

Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs for regular data refresh

3. Data Modeling & Analysis

Design and maintain data models for Power BI

Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and data relationships

Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of reporting metrics

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

Gather reporting requirements from business users, QA, and leadership

Convert business needs into technical specifications

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis

5. Deployment & Maintenance

Deploy reports across environments (DEV, QA, PROD)

Troubleshoot issues related to report generation, data accuracy, and performance

Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and ETL processes

Required Skills

Strong experience in:

SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)

SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Power BI (Desktop & Service)

Proficiency in:

SQL (Stored Procedures, Joins, Performance tuning)

Data modeling concepts

DAX functions and Power Query

Experience with:

Report deployment pipelines

Data warehousing concepts

Responsibilities: Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication with business stakeholders

Ability to handle multiple reporting requests simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Healthcare / Audit / Claims domain (highly relevant for your work context)

Exposure to Azure / Databricks / Cloud data platforms

Experience with automation (Power Automate / scheduling tools)

Operational SSRS reports (e.g., productivity, inventory, audit reports)

Power BI dashboards for leadership (RAG status, KPIs)

SSIS packages for automated data pipelines

Monthly/weekly performance reporting insights

Qualifications: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in programming concepts, data structures, and problem‑solving. Basic knowledge of Microsoft technologies, exposure to Azure cloud services, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are preferred. Good communication skills, analytical thinking, willingness to learn new technologies, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams are essential.
