Technical Project Manager (Senior) Other · Full Time · Remote
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a dedicated Data Operations team responsible for maintaining, operating, and enhancing enterprise data ingestion and data platform solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing data-centric projects, leading Agile teams, and collaborating with senior client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile delivery, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Manage project backlog, user stories, and task tracking using Jira.
Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, providing regular project status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Oversee the delivery of ETL pipelines, data ingestion processes, data lake, and data warehouse initiatives.
Manage operational activities, including automation of manual processes and data governance initiatives.
Ensure effective project governance, documentation, and alignment with business priorities.
Drive technical discussions between delivery teams and client stakeholders.
Manage project risks, dependencies, escalations, and issue resolution.
Monitor project financials, resource utilization, staffing, onboarding, and knowledge transfer activities.
Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
Manage Data Engineering, ETL, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse projects with 10+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Delivery Manager.
Work in Agile/Scrum environments with end-to-end project delivery.
Manage stakeholder relationships and client-facing communication.
Utilize Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and project tracking.
Lead distributed technical teams.
Understand project governance, risk management, and delivery metrics.
Apply technical skills in ETL Processes, Data Ingestion Frameworks, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue), Jira, and Agile/Scrum.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
Exposure to marketing data platforms or customer data platforms.
Knowledge of GDPR or data privacy processes.
Experience working in Time & Material (T&M) engagements.
