We are a leading manufacturer of custom steel, metal, and wooden products, delivering innovative fabrication solutions to clients across commercial, industrial, retail, and infrastructure sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer who can transform concepts into precise manufacturing drawings while working closely with production, engineering, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD based on customer requirements and engineering specifications.
Develop fabrication drawings for steel structures, sheet metal components, wooden furniture, fixtures, and custom fabrication projects.
Create manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings with accurate dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, and material specifications.
Coordinate with production, project, and design teams to ensure drawings are practical for manufacturing.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), cutting lists, and material specifications for production.
Revise drawings based on customer feedback, engineering changes, and site requirements.
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
Coordinate with CNC programming and production teams to optimize designs for fabrication.
Conduct site measurements when required to prepare accurate fabrication drawings.
Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and engineering records.
Support estimation and costing teams by providing technical drawings and quantity calculations.
Ensure timely completion of design deliverables within project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Certification in AutoCAD is mandatory.
Knowledge of SolidWorks, Inventor, SketchUp, or similar 3D CAD software will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
5–10 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting within steel, metal fabrication, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or engineering industries.
Hands-on experience preparing fabrication drawings for manufacturing environments.
Experience with custom fabrication and production-oriented design is preferred.
