Context And Mission
The person will be part of the Health & Safety Unit, within the Human Resources department. She/he/they will collaborate in implementing the Health & Safety plan and developing a safety culture across the centre with special emphasis on the Psychosocial Risk strategy, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment by managing workplace conflicts and designing organizational H&S protocols.
She/he/they will collaborate on the current H&S procedures and will participate in elaborating new actions.
Key Duties
Health & Safety:
o H&S coordination with external companies that work at BSC facilities and also other institutions where BSC employees are working.
o Managing health surveillance, medical check-ups, and health promotion actions.
o Carrying out risk assessments.
o Development of the emergency plan.
o Training & Onboarding: Organize H&S training sessions (welcome basics and specifics) and health promotion initiatives.
o Collaborate in new policies and procedures related to H&S.
o Collaborate in developing H&S documentation: planning, reports, KPI’s, posters, accident reports, etc.
o Foster the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure that the Health and Safety plan and important information are understood and operated by all employees, subcontractors, visitors and collaborators.
o Design and implement Health and Safety and well-being initiatives to facilitate consistent standards and spread best practices.
o Psychosocial Risk Assessment: Evaluate and monitor organizational risk factors such as work-related stress, burnout, and workload.
o Protocol Design: Design and implement formal protocols for conflict resolution, mental health support, and the prevention of workplace harassment, fostering a culture of mutual respect.
Other:
o Collaborate in the management of hotdesking and flexible seating strategies, balancing space efficiency with a high-quality employee experience and ergonomic standards.
o KPI Management: Collaborate with H&S the Manager to develop and maintain measurement systems and indicators to track H&S performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
Education
University degree related to Health & Safety (Labour Relations, Psychology or other).
Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication (Spanish and English).
Solid Catalan skills.
3 - 5 years of experience in Health and Safety departments.
Strong skills in Microsoft office.
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Specific training or studies in psychosocial risks will be valued.
Previous experience in other research centers, public administration or institutions.

Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the Management Department
We offer a full-time contract (35h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona

Development of the recruitment process
The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
