Context And Mission

The BSC AI Factory (BSC AIF) is a major European project aimed at accelerating the adoption and development of artificial intelligence across industry and public sectors that is deploying a comprehensive set of AI-focused services, including robust training, networking, and innovation support structures. Its mission is to foster the uptake and effective use of AI, particularly among SMEs, startups and public organizations across participating countries, and to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem.

In this context the BSC AIF Partner Program (BSC AIF PP) aims to structure and consolidate collaborations with the wide range of stakeholders linked to the project - including startups, SMEs, innovation agencies, EDIHs, consultancies, investment funds, universities, and public sector entities. This collaborative framework enables the BSC AIF to act as an orchestrator - connecting stakeholders and distributing opportunities - thereby fostering synergies among complementary players.

The BSC AI Factory Partners Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing the implementation mechanisms of the BSC AIF PP. This role ensures high-quality support of an external stakeholder who will provide the appropriate services and complete the expected results for the BSC AIF PP with three main macro activities 1) Strategic analysis and design of the BSC AIF PP 2) Design, development, and implementation of a technology platform to support BSC AIF PP management 3) Provision of a technical support office for the operation, maintenance, and evolution of the BSC AIF PP and related platform until the end of the BSC AIF project.

Reporting to the One-Stop-Shop manager of BSC AI Factory, the BSC AI Factory Partners Program Coordinator ensures that the activities performed by selected subcontractor are aligned with BSC AI Factory strategic objectives and delivered with excellence, impact, and visibility.

This project has received funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 101234399 and Spain, Portugal, Romania and Türkiye. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme. It is also co-funded by the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service and counts with the support of the Government of Catalonia.

Key Duties

Oversee the execution of the BSC AI Factory Partners Program, including all activities derived from the three macro activities described earlier (BSC AIF PP definition, design & implementation of the platform, technical office operation)

This will include the progress monitoring, validation of key operational and strategic decisions related to BSC AIF PP.

Act as liaison officer of BSC AIF with the external service provider who operate the BSC AIF PP hubs and to solve problems and anticipate needs in the development of the service provision.

Act as the contact person of BSC AI Factory with legal and tender departments of BSC, managing all the administrative requirements of the contracts

Responsible for implementing governance mechanisms to ensure proper decision-making between the BSC and service operator

Establish the appropriate reporting channels of the service provision and produce reporting documents to complete BSC AI Factory justification within the frameworks of funding mechanisms and requirements.

Requirements

Education

University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Innovation Management, or a related field.

Master’s degree in technology management, entrepreneurship, or innovation ecosystems is an asset.

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience

3 years or more in stakeholder engagement, partnership management, innovation ecosystems, or community building in tech or research settings.

Demonstrated ability in research-to-business activities

Background within and understanding of Digital Transformation, AI and technology driven sector

Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience

Systems thinking knowledge and practical implementation

Understanding of early-stage business development, technology validation, and go-to-market challenges in startups.

Previous role(s) involving public representation, stakeholder engagement, or serving as institutional spokesperson is desirable.

Knowledge of European funding programmes related to innovation and startups is considered a plus

Competences

Strong project management skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.

Excellent communication and public-speaking abilities, comfortable representing institutional initiatives in external forums

High level of autonomy, responsibility, and ability to manage complex activities across multiple partners and timelines.

Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Catalan is an asset

Conditions

The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department

Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration

Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement

Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona

Development of the recruitment process

The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:

Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points

Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.

The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.

In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.

The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
