We are seeking an experienced Director of FinOps & Accounting to lead our Accounting and Reporting teams within the Finance function, either in our HQ in Helsinki, Finland, or our Dublin, Ireland office.

This role is responsible for managing and supporting our external financial reporting, treasury and cash management, audit and compliance and the accounts receivable/payable and billing functions. The role will also take an oversight on effective financial controls, system development and regulatory compliance as well as developing and building an effective finance team.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Management & Oversight

Design and implementation of amended or new accounting processes and procedures. Maintenance and improvement of existing accounting processes.

Build, develop, and a strong global finance team. You will build a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence, ensuring the team acts as a strategic business partner rather than a back-office function.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports in accordance with Local GAAP/FAS/IFRS.

Own the financial closing process, including consolidations, reconciliations, accruals, and other close activities.

Collaborate closely with FP&A and the broader organization to provide accurate information and actionable insights that support decision-making.

Treasury and transactional business

Carefully oversee treasury operations to help the group protect and grow its cash reserves.

Oversee source-to-pay and accounts payable processes, working closely with cross-functional teams on procurement.

Oversee billing and accounts receivable including oversight on adequate collections and continued focus on working capital efficiency.

Oversee international tax and VAT compliance and filing alongside external advisory firms.

Audit, Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and internal policies.

Oversee group and subsidiary audits, and manage relationships with Group and statutory audit firms to ensure effective and timely audit outcomes.

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, maintaining the integrity of financial controls across the organisation.

Process Improvements & AI

Manage the digital transformation of the accounting function. You will identify and automate manual bottlenecks by implementing agentic and AI-driven workflows, with the objective of reducing month-end close time and increasing data accuracy.

Stay updated on Finance AI trends, regulations, and best practices, implementing changes as necessary to improve financial function effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a trusted partner to RevOps, Legal, Sales, Marketing and Product Orgs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.

Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership, contributing to the company's financial strategy and long-term growth plans.

Key requirements:

Formal Accountancy Qualification (e.g. KHT in Finland, ACA or ACCA in Ireland).

Over 10 years of applicable finance experience, along with extensive experience in accounting and financial controlling.

Demonstrated experience leading and developing Finance teams.

Solid understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., Local GAAP, FAS, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite).

Well-developed skills in analysis, organization, and problem-solving.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Nice to haves:

B2B SaaS exposure.

Experience building agentic workflows or process automation using foundational AI models and workflow orchestration tooling.

Experience with close management tools such as FloQast or Stacks.
