Machinery Storesperson

We are proud to represent some of the best name in the business including Fendt, McHale, Pottinger, Bogballe, Bredal, Kubota, Vaderstad and Major. Our farm machinery stores at our Carrigrohane Road headquarters is well stocked, well-resourced and attracts customers from far afield. We wish to add another storesperson to the team.

Job Purpose

Serve customers purchasing farm machinery parts and hardware. In addition, help in other areas as required to provide a high level of customer service and support the smooth running of the stores.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve customers who bring self-service shop items to the counter;

- Serve customers (inc. our own workshop) to correctly identify spare parts required for tractor/machinery servicing and repairs;

- Take responsibility for a franchise(s), being the parts expert in the business for that franchise and the buyer of parts for same;

- Assist as required with other roles in the department, e.g. stocktaking, merchandising displays, maintaining the stores cleanliness, putting away stock deliveries, picking stock for transfer to the branches, fulfilling online orders, conducting the daily till reconciliation of the day’s sales with payments, etc.;

- Possibly cover the annual leave of storespeople at our locations.

Skills & Traits Required

- An organised, methodical approach to work is the hallmark of a good storesperson;

- A customer service orientation;

- IT competency.

Experience & Qualifications Required

- Prior work experience with machinery and/or in retail an advantage;

- Familiarity with farming an advantage;

- Completed second level education.

Schedule : Mon. – Fri., 9:00 – 17:30 + Saturday mornings (9:0 0 – 13:00) on rotation

Remuneration : €35k - €40k p.a. (€17.25 - €19.75 p/hr.)

Overtime : Saturday mornings - paid at time and a half

Environment : Own desk in open plan office attached to parts counter

Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
