About the role
Overview:
Overview:
HealthEdge is scaling its BPaaS operations and must demonstrate quantifiable returns on its product investment decisions. This role exists to own that proof.
The Sr. Business Operations Manager, Product Value Realization owns collaboration and value creation between HealthEdge's product organization (structured by product line) and its delivery organization (structured by function). This role drives high-priority delivery-originated requests through the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), ensuring that enhancement opportunities are properly framed, prioritized, and delivered, and that the value they were projected to create is rigorously validated after the fact.
Following delivery, the Sr. Business Operations Manager, Product Value Realization compares estimated vs. realized value to sharpen future assessments and inform prioritization. Requestors whose value estimates prove inaccurate will face heightened scrutiny on future submissions, creating accountability for credible business cases.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Product Governance & Initiative Execution
Own end-to-end PDLC governance for Delivery-originated requests across all phases: Articulate & Prioritize Discovery Solution & Size Design & Build Test Release & Validate
Own the review of incoming delivery requests in partnership with the Product Operations team; validate problem statements, opportunity costs, and success criteria before requests advance
Translate strategic themes into initiative plans with detailed milestones, deliverables, and accountable owners
Lead end-to-end execution across multiple workstreams, guiding cross-functional teams through delivery
Apply PDLC governance standards consistently; track progress, risks, issues, and outcomes with structured methods
Own the weekly Product + Delivery alignment forum and deployment readiness cadence; deliver executive-ready status reporting
Value Measurement & Realization
Own the initiative KPI framework linking financial and operational outcomes to BPaaS operational metrics (e.g., FTE staffing requirements, time per transaction, SLA compliance rates)
Define and track both input metrics (e.g., share of requests with validated problem statements, PDLC cycle time per phase, estimate accuracy rate by requestor) and output metrics (e.g., FTE reduction, transaction time, SLA attainment) – and hold the distinction between the two clearly in all reporting
Quantitatively validate the value delivered by new functionality after release; compare actuals against the estimates that drove prioritization
Reinject realized value data back into the prioritization process to continuously improve the quality of the enterprise enhancement pipeline
Identify performance gaps and lead course correction when initiatives fall short of projected impact
Own the continuous improvement agenda for value assessment frameworks, execution processes, and tooling
Strategic Structuring & Problem Framing
Pressure-test assumptions and problem definitions to ensure initiatives are outcome-driven and value-accretive
Clarify business problems, opportunity costs, and value creation potential with the rigor of a structured finance analysis
Identify cross-functional trade-offs and present structured options to executive stakeholders
Track the accuracy of value estimates submitted with enhancement requests; incorporate realized-vs.-estimated variance into future prioritization recommendations, with heightened scrutiny applied to requestors with a pattern of overestimation
Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management
Collaborate with senior leaders and functional teams across product and delivery to foster joint alignment and accountability
Drive decision-making processes to resolution; escalate risks and issues with clear framing and recommended options
Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships within complex, matrixed organizational structures
Proactively identify execution risks and interdependencies across initiatives; develop and implement mitigation plans
Navigate ambiguity, providing clarity and driving outcomes when priorities shift
Minimum Required Qualifications
7+ years of total experience, including meaningful experience in investment banking, structured finance, or a comparably rigorous analytical professional services environment, with a demonstrated track record of modeling, stress-testing, and presenting quantitative value cases to executive audiences
Demonstrated ability to define and track both input and output metrics, and to apply the same analytical discipline to post-delivery validation as to pre-delivery estimation
Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives within large organizations
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and execution skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities across both technical and operational audiences
Comfort working in ambiguous and fast-evolving environments
Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop executive-ready materials, and drive strategic outcomes without formal authority
