Core Responsibilities

Identify purchasing needs based on inventory levels, sales forecasts, or production plans

Research and evaluate suppliers, products, and market trends

Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors

Issue purchase orders and track order status

Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues (delays, quality problems)

Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock

Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations

Analyze purchasing data to improve cost efficiency
