Role Overview
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within the proposed region, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and driving revenue growth. You will play a key role in developing and executing the fire and security sales strategy to achieve business goals.
This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in fire and security project sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities with electrical contractors, facilities companies and end users, building strong client relationships, and securing high-value projects throughout the region.
Core Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with the target sectors through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
Lead the tendering and bidding process, preparing high-quality proposals and presentations.
Collaborate with other regional business development managers to ensure project feasibility and profitability.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and risks.
Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company policies.
Meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and conversion.
Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
Key Requirements
Proven track record in new business development and sales orders from electrical contractors, facilities companies and end users for fire and security projects.
Strong understanding of BS5839 part 1 for fire alarm design with good understanding of security system design.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to order closing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify profitable opportunities and mitigate risks.
Proficiency in CRM software (Simpro), Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
Relevant manufacturer or industry qualification in fire and security engineering, or a related field is desirable.
Full UK driving license.
