Join Aurizon's Finance Partnering team and play a key role in supporting one of Australia's largest rail freight operations.
Working closely with operational leaders across our CQCN business, you will provide financial insights, commercial advice and performance analysis that help drive informed decision-making and improved business outcomes. This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional accounting and become a trusted advisor to leaders across a complex operational environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
Providing commercial insights and analysis to support strategic and operational decisions
Developing financial models and performance reporting tools
Monitoring financial performance, identifying trends and recommending improvement opportunities
Supporting month-end, half-year and year-end reporting requirements
Contributing to audit activities, analyst reporting and governance requirements
Partnering with operational stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
CA, CPA or CMA qualification
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Significant experience in financial planning, analysis and business partnering
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
The ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
