About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Mining Engineer to join our operations team. In this role, you will develop mine plans, optimise production, and support safe and efficient mining operations. Working closely with geologists, production teams, maintenance personnel, and environmental specialists, you will help deliver operational excellence while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop short, medium, and long-term mine plans and production schedules.
Design and optimise open-pit or underground mining operations.
Monitor production performance and recommend efficiency improvements.
Prepare drill and blast designs and analyse equipment utilisation.
Analyse operational data and prepare technical reports and forecasts.
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets safely.
Ensure compliance with mining legislation, environmental requirements, and company standards.
Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Support continuous improvement and mining technology initiatives.
Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, contractors, and site teams to optimise mine performance.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia or a recognised professional body is highly regarded.
Experience in open-pit or underground mining operations is preferred.
Sound understanding of Australian mining regulations and safety practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic mining environment.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to work FIFO, DIDO, or residential rosters where required.
