About the role
What You'll Do:
The Marketing Operations Specialist I supports regional marketing initiatives by assisting with market research, maintaining marketing systems, preparing operational reports, and supporting business intelligence activities. Working under the guidance of marketing leadership, this position develops an understanding of regional markets, marketing operations, and business development support while contributing to research, data management, and process improvement initiatives. Present a positive customer and employee service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.
Responsibilities
Conduct market, client, industry, and competitive research to support business development initiatives
Monitor procurement websites, capital improvement programs, and regional opportunities to identify potential pursuits
Compile, organize, and maintain market intelligence, client data, stakeholder lists, and opportunity tracking
Maintain marketing databases, business intelligence tools, and operational platforms, including BizCred
Track on-call contracts, contract renewals, regional opportunities, and other marketing activities
Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, metrics, and data analyses to support decision-making
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of marketing data and reporting
Support process improvement initiatives by developing standardized tracking tools, documenting workflows, and identifying operational efficiencies
Assist with the implementation and adoption of new technologies, automation tools, and marketing systems
Provide research and operational support for regional marketing initiatives, growth strategies, and special projects
Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
1 year of experience in marketing, market research, data analysis, business operations, or a related field
Experience within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required
Basic understanding of marketing principles and business research techniques
Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to gather, organize, and summarize information from multiple sources
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn CRM systems, marketing databases, and reporting tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies and processes
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
