About Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SDET / QA Automation professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for system and API testing. You will work closely with development, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through robust automation practices, well-defined test specifications, and continuous quality improvements.

What You'll Do:

As an SDET / QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for building and executing automated testing solutions across system and API layers.

You will contribute to test planning, automation framework development, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.

Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures for manual and automated testing.

Build and maintain system test automation using WebdriverIO and Cucumber framework written in TypeScript.

Develop API test automation using Cucumber and RestAssured framework, preferably with Python.

Work closely with software developers to perform early testing on components before integration builds.

Review and analyse system specifications, technical designs, and test requirements.

Build test specifications following quality assurance best practices.

Manage defect tracking, monitor defects, and report testing outcomes.

Validate integration with GCP cloud services.

Perform database validation using SQL scripting across PostgreSQL and BigQuery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality across the organisation.

Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality standards.

Expertise You'll Bring:

We are looking for a strong QA Automation professional with hands-on experience in system test automation, API test automation, cloud integration testing, and scripting.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and experience working in agile engineering environments.

Strong experience in SDET / system test automation using WebdriverIO.

Hands-on experience with Cucumber framework written in TypeScript.

Experience in API test automation using Cucumber and RestAssured framework.

Working knowledge of Python for automation scripting.

Strong SQL scripting experience with PostgreSQL and BigQuery.

Experience with GCP cloud services integration testing.

Ability to develop and execute automated test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures.

Strong understanding of automation tools, techniques, and best practices.

Good analytical skills to understand complex systems and identify potential quality gaps.

Experience in reviewing and analysing system specifications and technical design documents.

Knowledge of defect tracking, test reporting, and quality metrics.

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Understanding of CI/CD practices and software development lifecycle.

Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management / defect tracking tools.

Exposure to performance and security testing will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or C will be beneficial.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with development teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
