We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Data Science
Purpose of the Role
As a Group Compensation Funding Data Scientist, you will play a key role in delivering against our core Compensation funding activity, focused on improving and delivering key compensation activity as part of our dynamic culture where the best want to work. You will be responsible supporting on the variable pay accrual activities through the year for Performance & Reward.
In this role, you will:
Conduct detailed modelling and analysis of pay scenarios and outcomes for large populations; Maintain pay funding models ensuring adherence to Group model risk requirements
Extend strategic support for the variable pay and fixed pay funding as well as accrual and allocation processes including assessment of Group performance, modelling variable pay outcomes.
Rationalise large and complex datasets from different sources and develop scripts and libraries designed to join, rationalise, describe and predict.
Design and deliver research and deep analysis of projects across multiple stakeholders (internal and/or external utilising effective visualisation techniques and storytelling.
Utilise P&R knowledge and thought leadership to actively contribute to programme strategy and planning
Plays key role in consulting with stakeholders to understand business problems and design Performance and Reward data-driven solutions; Identifies and influence opportunities to improve insights within P&R reporting tools.
Formulate written content that guides readers through project goals, visualisations, findings and conclusions. Produce research papers and presentations
Extend strategic support in risk and issue identification, reporting and devising interventions to mitigate where applicable.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Advanced Excel skills
Proven expertise handling data and process using Python or R (preferably both)
Significant Experience with analysing and interpreting large HR datasets
Excellent understanding of data and databases and experience in interrogating and interpreting data
Knowledge of contemporary visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau/Power BI) and techniques
Ability to draw compelling insights from data analysis
Self starter, resilient and tenacious with focus on execution and delivery
