Software Engineer-QA

Key Responsibilities

Analyze functional and non-functional requirements and ensure complete test coverage.

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.

Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.

Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution using defect management tools.

Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Support teams to analyze requirements and resolve issues.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools and validate responses.

Execute database validation using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

Support automation initiatives by maintaining or developing automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.

Participate in release validation, production verification, and root cause analysis for reported defects.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality standards.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.

Hands-on experience in Manual Testing, including Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, Sanity, and UAT testing.

Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.

Good knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.

Strong SQL skills for database validation and data verification.

Working knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Familiarity with Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting.

Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.

Exposure to performance testing tools is an added advantage.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in Software Testing or Automation Testing will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
