Position Summary...

What you'll do...

This role focuses on driving third-party seller success through the creation and management of effective pricing strategies and competitive analysis across multiple channels. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive pricing communication strategy to deliver critical insights, share market intelligence, enable onboarding training, and drive seller success.

This involves maintaining pricing dashboards and reporting tools, ensuring all pricing data is accurate and up-to-date, issuing regular pricing reports to stakeholders, and coordinating competitive price pulls to support events and promotional activities. The role will work closely with the Pricing team, Account Management teams, and Seller Success teams to improve key metrics including Meat/Beat Score vs. Market (% of impressions on products that are tied or winning vs. best market price) and Impression Coverage % (% of impressions that have a market price match).

Additionally, the role will collaborate with Product teams to ensure that Seller pricing tools are effective and drive competitive positioning. The candidate will supply pricing data to Events teams and Account teams to ensure promotional events are competitively priced.

The ideal candidate possesses outstanding analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various partners. Demonstrating knowledge of pricing dynamics, competitive analysis, business communication styles, situational awareness, and interpersonal skills is essential. This role requires the ability to organize thoughts, communicate credibly and concisely, present to and influence team members and business partners, and utilize relevant data to articulate results and provide recommendations.

Strong partnership and collaboration skills are also essential, including stakeholder identification, analysis, engagement techniques, and management effectiveness tools. The candidate will periodically engage with team members and stakeholders, analyze their needs, and share relevant information to accomplish business goals.

A solid understanding of industry, environmental, and economic factors, global business strategy, and business management practices across multiple domains is necessary. The role may involve gathering and analyzing reports for pricing and assortment management, understanding pricing performance metrics, and demonstrating concepts associated with competitive pricing in the retail industry.

Proficiency in digital literacy and analytics, including data analysis techniques, visualization tools, pricing analytics, and the preparation of business analysis reports, is required. The candidate will leverage data analysis tools to explore data, develop hypotheses, and present insights to influence strategic work.

Financial forecasting and modeling skills are essential, including generating standard reports on pricing trends, understanding financial modeling techniques, and participating in the preparation of short-term forecasts. The role involves extracting data from databases, creating data pipelines, transforming data into usable sets, and customizing data for multiple audiences. The candidate will develop knowledge of current data transformation processes and ensure data quality and customization techniques align with reporting goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in pricing, competitive analysis, or a related analytical role, preferably at an ecommerce company

Demonstrated experience with pricing strategy, competitive intelligence, and market analysis

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms)

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams to take action based on insights and recommendations

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences

Experience with dashboard creation, reporting automation, and data pipeline management

Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in ecommerce or marketplace pricing

Familiarity with competitive pricing tools and market intelligence platforms

Knowledge of seller-side pricing dynamics and marketplace economics

Experience with A/B testing or experimental design for pricing strategies

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $101,750.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
