We are a forward-thinking organization committed to delivering innovative and disruptive genome editing products by 2030 and beyond. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of research and development in the field of genome editing, and we are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Genome Editing Regulatory Manager.

The Genome Editing Regulatory Manager will be accountable for driving the execution of Bayer’s crop genome editing regulatory science enablement strategy, working closely with teams in Brazil as well as globally. This position requires a strategic thinker that can effectively communicate across key stakeholder groups internally and externally. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of plant breeding, plant breeding innovations such as genome editing and regulatory frameworks.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

Manage regulatory submissions for genome editing projects in Brazil to enable the pipeline.

Provide support on regulatory status determination and compliance requirements.

Contribute to the development and implementation of regulatory policy advocacy strategies in close collaboration with the Brazil CTNBio advocacy lead.

Contribute to stakeholder engagement activities in Brazil on the topic of genome editing.

Build strong relationships with in-country teams and stakeholders to effectively execute Bayer's Regulatory Genome Editing Enablement strategy.

Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on regulatory strategies and priorities.

Communicate complex regulatory and policy concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

Mandatory

PhD preferred, Master’s degree required in a relevant field (e.g., genomics, plant breeding, biotechnology, regulatory affairs).

Proven experience in genome editing technology, plant breeding, and regulatory policy. Prior experience in an AgTech R&D environment considered a plus.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, specifically high proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global, multicultural environment.

A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to challenge conventional approaches.

Willingness to speak up and advocate for innovative solutions.
