About the role
Job Description:
Join us as a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations and take the lead in managing a dynamic warehouse environment. You'll oversee daily operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure we deliver on our commitments with precision and efficiency.
What will you do?
Supervise warehouse teams to execute receiving, storage, order preparation, and shipping operations seamlessly
Oversee inventory control and stock rotation to maintain accuracy and optimize warehouse capacity
Enforce safety and operational compliance standards to protect your team and maintain quality
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance productivity and service levels
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
Ensure efficient material handling and timely availability at the plant
Maintain smooth inbound and outbound logistics operations
Drive elimination of waste and operational inefficiencies
Inventory Accuracy & Control
Ensure high levels of physical vs. system stock accuracy
Execute daily cycle counts and periodic audits
Perform ABC/FMR analysis quarterly and annual age analysis
Identify and dispose of non-moving/obsolete inventory
Maintain optimal safety stock levels (SFG & FG)
SPS Implementation & Warehouse Excellence
Implement KANBAN system and train internal & contract workforce
Ensure adherence to FIFO principles
Improve warehouse standards using 5S and safety practices
Monitor water spider activities and material flow efficiency
Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions
Customer Order Management
Ensure on-time material delivery (OTDM)
Coordinate closely with production and dispatch teams
Improve order fulfilment cycle efficiency
Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and manage budget for:
Local transportation
Packing materials
International logistics (air/sea)
Monitor costs against budget and drive optimization
Freight & C&F Agent Management
Identify and onboard cost-effective transporters/C&F agents
Optimize logistics through shipment consolidation and mode selection
Balance cost and service quality
Subcontractor Management
Plan and ensure weekly RM supply to subcontractors
Conduct monthly audits for stock accuracy and compliance
Review subcontractor quality & delivery performance
Validate stock reconciliation reports
Drive performance improvements
Leadership & Team Management
Train, mentor, and develop warehouse & subcontracting teams
Set clear performance expectations
Drive continuous improvement culture
Participate in cross-functional reviews and problem-solving
Requirements
B.E or B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
7 years in warehouse/logistics management
Experience in engineering or automobile industry
Handling large SKU volumes/references
(Preferred) Certification in Supply Chain / Materials Management
Business Understanding
Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations
Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
Technical & Functional Skills
SAP (mandatory)
MS Office (Excel proficiency expected)
Inventory management & logistics planning
