Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing operational leadership to customers, dispatch, and drivers in the terminal, reporting into the Operations Manager. This position will assist with contract start-up, maintaining effective customer and driver relations. You will also support the ongoing development and implementation of the Company's business plan, while maintaining cost efficient operations.
Location: Brampton, On
Schedule: 40 hours, Mon-Fri
What you will do
Timely and effective answers to equipment and driver concerns, hands on management of dock/driver and warehouse operations.
Manage company drivers within a mix of agreements and policies including CBA, corporate policy and owner operators while enforcing safety and progressive discipline to maintain high customer service standard and good standing of the company CVOR.
Investigate incidents/accidents and personal injuries.
Assist Payroll and Billing team in obtaining necessary documents, information and system accuracy to complete payroll and billing within weekly timelines.
Oversee and promotes safety activities to include ensuring compliance with company's safety policy, employee training and reporting
Manage daily/ monthly/ annual reports, participate in reviews and meetings.
What You’ll Bring

High school diploma
Experience in a warehouse or transportation environment is preferred

Excellent leadership and analytical skills
MS Office proficiency necessary, knowledge of a dispatch software system
Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills both written and oral
Ability to multi-task, work independently and employ effective time management skills
