About nesto and Nesto Cloud

nesto is Canada’s leading provider of mortgage technology and financing solutions, managing $73B+ CAD in residential and commercial mortgages, with 1,000+ team members across 12 offices nationwide. You will be working on Nesto Cloud, Canada’s most advanced cloud platform, delivering end-to-end technology solutions for lenders in the digital age.

What you’ll be doing

Lead product ideation by identifying opportunities and translating stakeholder vision into well-scoped epics, features, and user stories.

Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility across multiple workstreams.

Run discovery and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders and clients, surfacing needs, edge cases, and the “if/then” logic behind a bulletproof feature.

Create customer journey maps and detailed acceptance criteria that guide design and development from concept through delivery.

Partner with front-end and back-end developers, and product leadership, to sequence work, resolve trade-offs, and ensure technical feasibility.

Mentor analysts and help raise the bar for how the team writes requirements, structures backlogs, and communicates product intent.

Who we are looking for

3+ years of experience as a product analyst, product owner, or business analyst, with post-secondary education in computer science, business, information technology, or a related field.

You have a proven track record of turning ambiguous, high-level business requests into structured epics, user stories, and prioritized backlogs that engineers can execute without constant back-and-forth.

You are skilled at facilitating discovery and requirement-gathering sessions, and know how to ask the right questions to get to the real problem behind a stakeholder’s request.

You possess a natural “owner” mindset with the initiative to identify pain points, shape feature ideas, and drive them from concept to completion.

You understand how a single change in one part of the platform can ripple across the entire ecosystem, and you document those dependencies and edge cases meticulously.

You are comfortable with agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, refinement), and basic SQL literacy is an asset for validating data – though it is not the core focus of this role.

You are comfortable engaging with technical concepts - APIs, data structures, and system architecture - enough to have credible conversations with engineers and spot technical risks early, even though you are not expected to write code.

The Reward

The A-Team: Work alongside high-performing talent in the industry.

Accelerated Growth: The slope of your learning curve here will be vertical. You will touch more production systems in one year than you would in five years at a bank.

Top-Tier Coverage: Premium benefits plan fully paid by nesto, including comprehensive insurance and unlimited access to telemedicine and mental health services for you and your family.

Rest & Recharge: 4 weeks of vacation to ensure you stay at peak performance.

Best-in-Class Tools: Access to the resources and tech you need to execute without friction.

Working framework: The environment that makes you productive and enables teamwork (Hybrid model).

Diversity and Inclusion

At nesto, we believe that creativity and collaboration are the result of a diverse team. We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and we strongly encourage women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply. We are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive and welcoming to all.

The pay range for this role is:

80,000.00 - 100,000.00 CAD per year (Hybrid (Vancouver, British Columbia, CA))
