We are currently looking for an Intern to join the Finance Operations Team within the Finance function! The position will be based in our Frankfurt office.

About the Job

As an Intern within Finance Operations in the Finance function at Allianz Global Investors, you will support strategic initiatives focused on productivity, data, AI, analytics, and digital transformation.

Working closely with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, you will help analyze finance and operational data across functions to generate insights, enhance transparency, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and business performance. You will contribute to innovative projects that leverage modern technologies and data-driven approaches to improve business performance and operational efficiency.

What you do

Support the development of business process and business intelligence solutions using modern data and analytics technologies

Support AI and automation initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of generative AI use cases

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights for business stakeholders

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative projects involving data engineering, analytics, and process optimization

Contribute to proof-of-concepts and experimentation with emerging technologies

Prepare presentations, insights, and recommendations for management and business partners

Support the team in day-to-day activities and strategic productivity programs.

What you bring

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field

Strong interest in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, DevOps, and emerging technologies

Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, Databricks, or similar technologies is highly desirable

Analytical mindset with the ability to work with complex datasets and translate findings into business insights

Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude

Creative thinker who enjoys challenging the status quo and bringing innovative, out-of-the-box ideas

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work

Fluent in English; German is an advantage

Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
