Why this role might suit you
The role offers exposure to EOR/IOR screening and value chain assessment within a global energy technology company, providing opportunities to work on mature field recovery improvement concepts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Skills
About the role
Supports the early definition and screening of EOR/IOR and recovery improvement options for mature fields. The role is intended for an engineer who can work with senior specialists to organize reservoir, production, injection, facilities, surveillance, and commercial inputs into a practical screening view. While deep product-level ownership is not expected at this level, familiarity with the main components of the EOR/IOR value chain is preferred, particularly the ability to recognize which disciplines need to be engaged and what data is required to make a credible recommendation to the client.
Key Responsibilities
EOR/IOR screening: Support screening of waterflood, gas injection, chemical, thermal, conformance, and other recovery improvement concepts using available reservoir, production, and analog data.
Value chain assessment: Compile inputs on subsurface suitability, injection supply, facilities constraints, wells, surveillance, operations, and execution readiness.
Recovery upside input: Assist in quantifying incremental recovery potential, technical feasibility, assumptions, uncertainty ranges, and key value drivers.
Proposal support: Prepare technical inputs, supporting calculations, analog references, and risk notes for integrated field management proposals.
Integration: Work with reservoir, production, facilities, wells, and commercial specialists to ensure EOR/IOR concepts are practical and aligned with project value drivers.
Qualifications
BSc in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; MSc preferred.
5–8 years experience in reservoir engineering, production optimization, or EOR/IOR screening.
Working knowledge of recovery mechanisms, injection schemes, surveillance requirements, and mature field performance issues.
Ability to prepare concise technical inputs and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
