About the role
GCP Administrator with DevOps expertise is responsible to manage, automate, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for cloud administration, CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security compliance, and operational support for enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administer and support GCP environments across Development, QA, and Production.
2. Manage IAM roles, service accounts, security groups, and access controls.
3. Provision and maintain GCP services including:
· Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
· Cloud Storage
· Compute Engine
· Cloud Functions
· Cloud Scheduler
· Pub/Sub
· BigQuery
· Cloud SQL
· Secret Manager
· Vertex AI
4. Configure networking components including VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewall Rules, DNS, and VPN connectivity.
5. Monitor cloud infrastructure utilization and optimize cost and performance.
6. Kubernetes & Container Management
· Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications on GKE, including container images, namespaces, ingress controllers, and auto-scaling configurations.
· Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance through proactive vulnerability management and best practices.
7. Monitoring & Operations
· Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
· Perform incident management and root cause analysis.
· Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
· Support operational activities and production releases.
· Develop dashboards and operational metrics.
8. Security & Compliance
· Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including secure management of secrets, credentials, encryption keys, and access controls.
· Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements by conducting periodic access reviews, security assessments, and remediation activities
· Ensure adherence to enterprise cloud governance standards and organizational security policies across all GCP environments.
9. Collaboration
· Work closely with Development, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
· Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
· Provide technical guidance and operational support to application teams.
· Maintain architecture, deployment, and operational documentation.
Experience:
Total no of years of experience required: 5-8 years
Required Qualifications
· Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
· Kubernetes (GKE), Docker
· Terraform
· CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
· Python/Shell Scripting
· Git, Bitbucket/GitHub
· Monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
· GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification
· Experience with Apigee, Cloud Security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
· Experience in regulated environments (Pharma/Healthcare) is a plus
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
