Responsibilities:
LPL Financial is seeking a Data Product Analyst to support the Transactions & Positions Books and Records (TBAR) Data Domain. This role serves as a key partner to Product Owners, Operations, Engineering, and Data Governance teams, helping ensure transaction, position, balance, and tax lot data products are accurate, trusted, governed, and fit for enterprise consumption.
The Data Product Analyst will perform data analysis, reconciliation, impact assessment, data quality investigations, and requirements definition activities that support TBAR's role as the enterprise source for transactions and positions books and records data. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of financial data, and the ability to bridge business needs with technology delivery.

Requirements:
Data Analysis & Domain Support
Analyze transaction, position, balance, and tax lot data across TBAR, BETA, and downstream consumer platforms.
Support the definition and evolution of TBAR data products, business rules, and data standards.
Perform data profiling, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and impact assessments.
Identify data quality issues, lineage gaps, and inconsistencies impacting downstream consumers.
Data Quality & Governance
Support monitoring and remediation of data quality, reconciliation, and operational exceptions.
Assist in defining critical data elements (CDEs), data quality rules, and governance controls.
Maintain business metadata, data definitions, lineage documentation, and data dictionaries.
Partner with Data Governance teams to support stewardship and certification activities.
Product Delivery & Requirements Support
Translate business and operational needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and release activities.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering teams to validate requirements and solution outcomes.
Conduct impact analysis for data model changes, API enhancements, and new data source onboarding.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Operations, Finance, Trading, Compliance, Architecture, and Technology teams.
Communicate findings, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Support adoption and understanding of TBAR data products across the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Product Management, Data Governance, or related roles.
Strong SQL skills and experience performing complex data analysis and reconciliation.
Experience working with transaction, position, holdings, balance, or operational financial data.
Understanding of data quality, lineage, governance, and metadata management concepts.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments and partnering with cross-functional teams.

Experience with financial operations, reconciliation, supervision, performance reporting, or regulatory reporting data.
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and lineage tools.
Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or enterprise data platforms.

Data quality and reconciliation issues are identified and resolved before impacting consumers.
TBAR data products are well-documented, governed, and trusted across the enterprise.
Stakeholders have clear visibility into data lineage, quality, and downstream impacts.
Product teams receive strong analytical support for roadmap, governance, and delivery decisions.
Adoption and confidence in TBAR data products increase across business and technology teams.
