Divisional Overview:

The Corporate finance team performs global and seamless Finance operations including Treasury and Capital Management, Trading and Product control, Financial reporting and disclosure, Management information and reporting for decision support, planning and development of financial strategy including, tax planning and reporting, investor relations management, and much more.

Business Unit Overview:

Treasury is responsible for funding the Firm and ensuring that adequate liquidity is maintained in all market conditions. It provides funding solutions to the businesses while managing attendant financial risks and minimizing interest and operational costs. There are 3 separate teams, each under the remit of a manager who reports into the Head of Treasury, Mumbai supported by a unified Data Assurance team. These groups are:

Funding Support

The Funding team in Powai works along with the regional funding teams based in Tokyo, Singapore and London to ensure Daily Treasury bookings, Global and Regional Funding Programs, Management of funds and Cost allocations is performed efficiently

Planning & Analysis:

The Planning & Analysis team in India supports the Europe, AEJ, Tokyo & US Planning and Analysis teams. The team is responsible for the preparation of the Firm’s internal liquidity risk reporting, Stress Testing models & various MIS. The team is also responsible for regular & ad-hoc analytics required for management. They handle reporting of MCO, Long Term Debt, FX Rollover risk, Management Packs etc.

Regulatory Reporting:

The Regulatory reporting team is responsible for preparation, analysis and monitoring of firm’s liquidity risk as per pre-defined external regulatory models like LCR, NSFR, ALMM, PRA110 etc. for various regulatory bodies such as JFSA, MAS, PRA, EBA, BaFin etc. The team is also responsible for various ad-hoc analysis required by various committees such as ALCO, RISKCO

Data Analyst:

DA is a data quality specialist for Treasury across products like Secured, Unsecured and Derivatives. Their role includes updating upstream data flows to meet Treasury requirement at the UDM level. They get involved in ongoing strategic data enhancement projects along with wider teams like FTO, DQE etc. The team’s BAU involves resolving all Errors and Warning reflected in daily UDM as per set threshold, Box report, Error & Warning, staging count check, Pairing control report and ad-hoc issues around incorrect/ missing data. Knowing about trade booking & life cycle, Liquidity concepts helps them make meaningful enhancements along with IT.

CA or MBA with relevant peer group exposure

Individual Contributor role responsible for Regulatory Reporting Treasury deliverables

Primarily responsible for daily preparation, Monitoring and Reporting to Senior Management on key liquidity risk drivers through internal and external stress testing models (Maximum Cumulative Outflow (MCO), NSFR and Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) for JFSA/ MAS respectively, MAS 1015 Supplementary Disclosure monthly reporting

Being hands on with all daily BAU to support team in absence of team members & to share workload on daily basis

Production and enhancement of meaningful and performance driven MIS / KPIs / KRIs for both local and onshore managements

Collaborate with regional treasury to deliver on mandatory regulatory change agenda

Develop and maintain controls to validate with reasonable certainty the accuracy and completeness of the data input into the calculations

Analyse and explain key day on day drivers for movements in liquidity position of the firm through various liquidity risk metrics

Meets all the requirements and deadlines relating to the reporting activities and ensure that the necessary protocols are followed

Self-starter, shall work with minimal supervision

Domain Skills

CA or MBA Lateral hire experienced in Treasury or Liquidity Reporting related activities

Financial services industry exposure / good working knowledge in financial reporting function

Understanding of financial products, good understanding of Balance Sheet

Excel system skills and ability to learn Finance specific tools

PowerPoint skills, New age tools exposure is good to have like Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau

Sound knowledge on Financial Products

Proficiency in bringing issues to closure by keeping all the relevant stakeholders informed.

Inquisitive mind set with ability to challenge the norm

Technical

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to learn Finance specific systems

Working knowledge with either of Tableau, Power BI, Excel VBA macros and SQL and ability to self – learn similar new age IT tools

Prior experience in Data Analytics, Data Science & Modelling.

Ability to build queries and work with large data sets

Big data technologies like Hadoop and Cloud technology.
