Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Tayside People and Culture Directorate for an Associate HR Business Lead to join the HR Business Team. Reporting to the HR Business Lead, you will provide highly specialist HR advice and leadership, supporting the delivery of an effective, consistent and professional HR service across NHS Tayside.
About the role
The People and Culture Directorate delivers a comprehensive HR service to approximately 14,000 employees across Angus, Dundee, and Perth & Kinross.
As an Associate HR Business Lead you will work autonomously while contributing to the wider Senior HR Business Team. You will lead on defined HR portfolios and initiatives, support organisational change and workforce modernisation and play a key role in the development, implementation and review of HR policy and practice at both local and national level.
You will provide expert employee relations advice, oversee complex casework, analyse workforce and case data, and produce highquality reports for senior leaders and committees. You will also liaise with external bodies and contribute to Scotland wide workforce policy activity.
A core element of the role is the design and delivery of specialist HR training, coaching and mentoring of managers and HR colleagues, and supporting effective partnership working across the organisation.
The post holder will deputise for HR Business Leads as required and contribute to the strategic development of the HR service in a fast paced, complex healthcare environment.
What we are looking for
You will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience and will hold Chartered membership of the CIPD (or possess an equivalent postgraduate qualification or level of professional experience).
You will have a highly specialist knowledge of employee relations and UK employment law and a proven experience of managing complex employee relations casework, contributing to HR policy development and supporting workforce change and organisational redesign. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills are essential with the ability to present complex and sensitive information clearly to a wide range of audiences.
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
