About the role

Job Description

Our Analysts are at the heart of delivering value to our retail partners. Working closely with a large UK grocery retailer, you will combine best-in-class data, FMCG and retail expertise, and compelling storytelling to drive actionable insights that support both strategic and tactical decision-making.

This is a highly client-facing role where you will act as a trusted partner to retailer stakeholders, while collaborating internally with NIQ teams. You will leverage both Scanning and Panel data alongside broader datasets where relevant, translating complex data into clear, impactful recommendations.

You will build a strong understanding of the UK grocery landscape, market trends, and shopper behaviour, helping ensure NIQ delivers maximum value to the client partnership.

Salary: 40000 GBP to 47000 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.

Key Responsibilities

Client Partnership & Ownership

Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams, act as a trusted advisor, leading confident, data-driven conversations

Own day-to-day client servicing and respond to key business questions and support delivery against account plans aligned to client objectives

Insight Generation & Storytelling

Translate client challenges and hypotheses into clear analytical briefs, deliver high-quality analysis using EPOS (and other relevant datasets)

Create compelling, story-led outputs that drive action and influence decisions, challenge assumptions and bring fresh, commercially relevant perspectives

Strategic & Commercial Impact

Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business and UK FMCG market dynamics

Identify opportunities to enhance the partnership and unlock additional value and contribute to both strategic recommendations and tactical actions

Integrate multiple data sources to provide a holistic view of performance

Team & Capability Development

Contribute to team development, training, and best practice sharing

Support junior team members where applicable and contribute to internal initiatives to continuously improve client service

Experience & Skills

Essential

Strong analytical experience within FMCG, retail, or market research

Experience working with retail or consumer data (EPOS / panel preferred)

Proven ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights and strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills

Confident presenter with well-developed storytelling ability, strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers

Experience combining multiple datasets into a single narrative, exposure to account planning or strategic client development
