Hourly Rate: $30 - $35 DOE

Position Overview

The HR Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts while providing comprehensive support for Human Resources operations. This role partners closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract and hire top talent, and deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The HR Recruiter also supports onboarding, compliance, employee records management, and other HR administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt, non-exempt, direct hire, temporary, and contingent workforce positions.

Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies.

Create, post, and manage job advertisements across job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.

Source and identify qualified candidates through databases, networking, referrals, and proactive recruiting methods.

Review resumes, conduct candidate screenings, and assess qualifications against job requirements.

Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams.

Facilitate interview processes and gather feedback from hiring managers.

Extend employment offers and assist with compensation discussions as appropriate.

Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and metrics within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Ensure recruitment practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

HR Administration & Employee Support

Maintain employee and candidate records with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

Prepare employment-related documents, including offer letters, onboarding packets, new hire paperwork, and employment verifications.

Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.

Manage pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screenings, reference checks, and employment verification.

Support HR compliance initiatives, including file audits, record retention, and policy administration.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related matters.

Maintain HR databases, HRIS records, reports, and tracking systems.

Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and employee programs as needed.

Prepare routine and ad hoc HR reports, metrics, and workforce data.

Coordinate HR meetings, training sessions, employee engagement activities, and company events.

Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.

Prior experience supporting HR administration, employee onboarding, and HR operations.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and recruiting best practices.

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and recruitment technologies.

Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.

Experience recruiting across multiple functional areas and levels within an organization.

Experience supporting workforce planning, employee engagement, and HR compliance initiatives.

Knowledge of California employment laws and labor regulations.
