As part of the Alphagary team, for analyzing, managing and monitoring all costs associated with business expenses to optimize budgets, forecast, and margins related to profitability and revenue assessment. Develop and manage financial and other internal controls over inventory, maintenance of inventory financial records and transaction for all AG US plants (Denver PA, Leominster MA, & Pineville NC).
Reviewing and testing inventory records and reports, physical inventory on a periodic basis, testing and review of internal controls, monitoring scrap and obsolete inventory, analyzing cost and inventory data for review with plant management and corporate financial team.
Analyze, manage, evaluate, monitor, and report on variances from the production process, including labor utilization and efficiency, purchase price, material usage, and scrap and recommend improvements to the process. Work with local teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cost variances related to all business expenses at each facility. Develop and provide in depth analysis of fluctuations to business expenses and drivers related to costs versus margins.
Manage, review and update for accuracy costs related to routings, bill of materials, and general ledger mapping. Review work orders for accuracy of issue and receipt of materials. Monitor and maintain work order close process within the ERP system.
Manage the month end cost routines run within SAP. Analyze and report variances and actual costs for the plants. Investigate and problem solve issues related to plant costs work closely with local leadership to address inaccuracies affecting cost process and alignment with accounting practices.
Manage and organize the annual physical inventory plan, count, and analysis. Work with each location to create and develop an ongoing inventory cycle-count process. Develop a process to address any inventory discrepancies based on accounting and SOX processes.
Analyze, monitor and recommend solutions to scrap and obsolete inventory levels and assist with disposition through providing appropriate information. Work with sales, operations, supply chain and R&D to ensure proper identification and inventory adjustments and removals.
Prepare applicable cost schedules for internal management.
Key contact for Commercial team for all product costings. Responsible for business partnering, product costings, margin analysis, challenging production efficiency accuracy, effectiveness of current processes controls, and managing stock to ensure full accountability of usage and production on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Develop, monitor and challenge KPIs to drive manufacturing performance/efficiency.
Work cross functionally to ensure clear understanding of cost processes as related to inventory, variances, margins etc. Ensure clear communication of corporate, accounting and SOX requirements.
Education/Experience
Ø Academic Level: Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Business
Ø Language(s) and level of proficiency: Fluent in English
Ø Knowledge/Experience: 5-7 Years of experience in accounting or finance, Knowledge of SAP, Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills, Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Prior cost accounting/inventory accounting experience preferred.
o Ability to travel to other plants as need for special projects; quarterly travel expected & physical inventory travel required.
o Strong data management skills. There will be a requirement to use/understand S4Hana, excel, and other solutions that could be implemented.
o Ability to analyze and evaluate complex financial and accounting information, effectively handle multiple assignments, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writingo Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction and on time
o Resilience and the ability to work on one’s own initiative
o Strong attention to detail required
o A clear grasp of basic accounting principles is essential. Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) is beneficial
o "Hands on” capabilities, must be able to get things done
The compensation for this position will typically range from $100,000- $125,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
