Hiring: Senior QA Automation Engineer – Capital Markets

Location: New York, NY or New Jersey – Hybrid

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in Capital Markets / Financial Services and hands-on expertise in Selenium, Java or Python, SQL, and test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience testing market data, index/benchmark calculations, pricing, reference data, portfolio or investment applications, along with a strong understanding of automated, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

Job Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions using Selenium, Cucumber, Java/Python, and related technologies.

Develop test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.

Perform functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Validate financial and market data using SQL, databases, ETL pipelines, and Data Services.

Test high-volume, low-latency, real-time financial data platforms.

Work with market data, pricing, reference data, index calculations, and benchmark-related applications.

Collaborate with Development, Database, Integration, and Support teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Support QA strategy, test automation, code reviews, release testing, deployment, and sign-off activities.

Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to improve test design, automation, defect analysis, and root-cause investigation.

Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing methodologies.

Requirement:

8+ years of experience in software testing and QA.

Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.

Strong programming skills in Java or Python.

Strong SQL skills and experience with database validation.

Experience in Capital Markets, Financial Services, or FinTech.

Knowledge of asset classes such as Equities, Forex/FX, or Options is a plus.

Experience with API and integration testing across multiple applications.

Exposure to GenAI tools or AI-assisted testing is preferred.

Experience with Jenkins, AWS, Linux/UNIX, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Karate, or Carina is a plus.

Compensation

This Test Automation Engineer role pays $35k-$40k/yr. Within typical range for test automation engineer roles in United States.
