About the Opportunity
Johns Lyng Group (JLG) is a market-leading property services and construction company. We are seeking a strategic, commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive our national diversification strategy.
Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, you will identify, develop, and secure high-value growth construction opportunities outside the traditional insurance sector. This is a high-impact role designed to establish JLG as the preferred provider across Government, Education, Facilities Management, and Commercial sectors and will lead to a national role.
Location Doncaster, Lidcombe or Murarrie.

Key Responsibilities
Diversification Strategy: Own and execute the national diversification strategy, identifying emerging markets to generate sustainable, profitable revenue.
National Pipeline Development: Build and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities, major tenders, and national panel appointments.
Sector Leadership: Develop high-level executive relationships and secure procurement pathways across Government, Education, Facilities Management and Defence.
Tender & Panel Management: Lead national tender strategies, coordinate with operational leaders, and develop winning value propositions.
Market Intelligence: Monitor procurement pipelines and legislative changes to identify market shifts ahead of our competitors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless transitions from opportunity identification through to mobilisation.
What You Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline (preferred).
Proven track record of securing Government tenders and national panel appointments.
Advanced commercial, financial, and procurement acumen.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at an executive level.
Capacity and willingness to travel nationally.
Knowledge of the construction industry an advantage
