The Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead the end-to-end discovery and scoping of enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) and Asset Management (AM) capabilities. This role is focused on understanding current-state operations, engaging stakeholders across the business, and translating complex business requirements into a comprehensive, implementation-ready requirements package. You will play a critical role in defining future-state processes, identifying capability gaps, and ensuring alignment across business and technology teams. The successful candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with practical experience across ITSM and Asset Management frameworks, helping establish a clear delivery roadmap for future implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end discovery and requirements gathering activities for ITSM and Asset Management initiatives.

Conduct stakeholder mapping and establish engagement plans across business and technical teams.

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to capture business requirements and operational needs.

Document current-state ("as-is") processes and define future-state ("to-be") operating models.

Identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

Develop implementation-ready Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and supporting artefacts.

Create process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, user stories, and business rules documentation.

Collaborate with technical teams to assess solution options and implementation approaches.

Ensure alignment between stakeholders, business objectives, and technology outcomes.

Support governance activities, prioritisation discussions, and decision-making processes.

Provide recommendations to support the implementation of ITSM and Asset Management capabilities.

What You'll Need

Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering complex technology or transformation initiatives.

Strong experience working across IT Service Management (ITSM) and Asset Management (AM) environments.

Solid understanding of ITIL principles, service management processes, and operational frameworks.

Demonstrated experience leading stakeholder engagement, discovery workshops, and requirements gathering activities.

Experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes.

Strong capability in producing high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process maps, and use cases.

Experience conducting gap analysis, impact assessments, and dependency mapping.

Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for delivery teams.

Strong understanding of business process improvement and service management best practices.

Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

Experience working within complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
