ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team based at our Forrestfield Workshop. You will support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of skid mounted and containerised water treatment plant manufacturing projects.

Working closely with the Project Manager and Workshop Manager, you will provide engineering support throughout the manufacturing process, from design review through to final testing and commissioning of water treatment systems for projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

Support project delivery from design review through to manufacturing completion

Coordinate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and constructability

Review and approve shop drawings, material specifications, and procurement schedules

Monitor manufacturing progress against project timelines and quality standards

Conduct factory acceptance testing and commissioning support

Manage engineering change processes and documentation control

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders

Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications

Support quality control processes and final inspection procedures

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is keen to develop their career by taking an active hands-on role in the manufacturing and delivery of innovative water treatment solutions.

To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline

2-5 years of experience in engineering support roles, preferably in manufacturing or construction environments

Understanding of water treatment processes and systems

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and P&IDs

Experience with project coordination and engineering documentation

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel)

Valid Australian Driver's Licence

Australian Citizenship

Ability to successfully complete a Police Check

The following attributes would be highly advantageous:

Experience with water treatment plant design and manufacturing

Project management certification or training

Understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality management systems

Previous experience in workshop or manufacturing environments
