Sr. Program Manager, Verification Services

DESCRIPTION

The Verification Services team ensures that Amazon is a safe and trustworthy place to shop, and an amazing place to build a successful business selling products. We support this mission through providing a secure and accurate verification platform. Verification is a critical component to protect our customers from bad actors and provide fast and secure registration and account management capabilities. We provide an end to end solution for identity verification and account lifecycle management for various Amazon businesses across globe (North America, Europe, Japan, China and more). Our customers include Mechanical Turk, Selling on Amazon, Amazon Pay, Amazon Flex etc. We continuously strive to scale our systems to serve millions of Amazon customers with high accuracy, least friction, in a highly secure manner to enable a safe and secure shopping experience for customers.

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead large cross functional programs, and focus on owing the delivery of the new product launches, compliance intiatives and new marketplace launches. This person will be responsible for optimizing the delivery of a launch by working closely with product and engineering. This role requires an extensive co-ordination with varied set of stakeholders from Science, Operations, Compliance and Legal. The role requires someone who can manage multiple tasks/priorities, consistently meet deadlines, is a creative problem solver and a critical thinker coupled with cross-functional communication skills. In addition, we are looking for someone who has a blend of program/project management experience added with experience in tech acumen to scale our tech service offerings.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution and delivery of business-critical/high impacting projects on the team's roadmap and ensure they are delivered with high quality and within budget.

Work with leadership team to drive critical business initiatives across the organization

Develop, implement and govern KPIs reporting for the portfolio providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects

Drive and influence stakeholders across product, engineering, business and Ops teams on improvement opportunities

Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the project delivery by leading and implementing best practices across the team

Communicate across all levels on project and program progress

Coach, mentor and guide new team members

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of program or project management experience

Hands on experience at program managing an AI solution

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship

Experience in leading large, cross functional projects

Experience leading organizational change initiatives across multiple locations

Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

3+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience, or experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites

Experience working with global teams and diverse partners

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Experience working with or evaluating AI systems
