Introduction

Oxford University Press is seeking a Manager, Professional Development to play a key role in strengthening customer engagement, driving product adoption, and supporting sustainable business growth across the assigned territory. Opportunity

As Manager, Professional Development, you will be responsible for increasing market share for the assigned product portfolio by enhancing product knowledge, driving customer engagement, and supporting the effective implementation and usage of OUP solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Generating revenue from existing user schools through retention initiatives, upselling opportunities, and cross-selling activities.

Conducting product briefings in schools, including preparing presentations and personally delivering sessions based on customer requirements.

Ensuring timely completion of all agreed SLAs and SOPs.

Planning and executing innovative customer engagement activities designed to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Managing customer issues effectively and ensuring zero open complaints in the territory beyond seven days.

Working closely with schools to improve product usage, adoption, and overall customer experience.

Delivering internal product training programmes to strengthen the product knowledge and capability of sales teams.

Maintaining accurate reporting, auditing, and documentation practices.

Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams to support business objectives and customer success initiatives.

Impact

This role plays a critical part in strengthening customer relationships, improving product adoption, and driving revenue growth through retention and expansion opportunities. By supporting educators and enabling sales teams with effective product knowledge, the Manager, Professional Development contributes directly to customer success, market growth, and OUP's commitment to delivering high-quality educational solutions.

About You

Essential Criteria

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Experience in teacher training and/or school teaching.

Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation, including remote teams.

Good understanding of computer applications and digital tools.

Strong organisational, reporting, and documentation capabilities.

Desirable Criteria

Experience working within the education or learning sector.

Exposure to customer engagement, retention, or customer success initiatives.

Experience delivering training programmes and workshops for educators.

Understanding of school operations and the K-12 education ecosystem.
