Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing safe, compliant and sustainable project delivery, maintaining excellence across quality, cost, programme and performance standards.

Providing strategic leadership for project and commercial activities, overseeing contracts, governance and client outcomes.

Driving ethical, financially responsible operations, supporting net zero ambitions and delivering value for clients and communities.

Directing, mentoring and developing high-performing teams, fostering inclusion, continuous improvement and best practice in cost management.

Directing commercial and contractual activities, overseeing contract execution, certifications, claims management and project close-out.

Directing cost control, valuations and post-contract reporting, providing clear commercial insight to clients and stakeholders.

Managing and developing high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, innovation and excellence in cost management practices.

Identifying and managing commercial risks, design changes and carbon reduction opportunities, supporting sustainable project outcomes.

You’ll need to have:

Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent)

Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.

Strong Bidding and business development experience.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.

Management experience within large, diverse teams.

Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
