The Role

Permanent

Full Time

At Matara UK Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of linear automation, pneumatics and bespoke industrial components, we’re looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our sales growth.

This is a varied and rewarding role with plenty of autonomy to make it your own. You’ll be delivering excellent service to customers while actively growing new business opportunities across your territory.

Our success is built on strong customer relationships, technical understanding, and a commitment to helping UK manufacturing work better. As part of the Rubix Motion Control & Automation division, Matara offers high-quality, UK-engineered products and bespoke solutions to machine builders, OEMs, systems integrators and industrial users.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Business Development Manager you will:

Build and nurture strong customer relationships within your assigned region.

Increase share of wallet with existing accounts while identifying and winning new customers.

Take ownership of your sales pipeline, using CRM and performance targets to manage and grow your territory.

Work closely with colleagues - including product specialists, internal engineering teams and suppliers - to deliver tailored solutions for customers’ automation and component needs.

Support customers across a range of markets such as automotive, aerospace, food & drink, packaging, and more.

You’ll be the face of Matara for your customers, helping them reduce costs, improve production efficiency and drive long-term success.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should have:

A proactive, results-driven attitude with excellent communication skills.

Experience in account management or business development.

A team-player mindset with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

Experience or knowledge of manufacturing, industrial automation, MCA, pneumatics, linear motion systems, MRO or trade environments would be a plus but full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you want to step into a role where you can truly make an impact and help improve efficiency across UK industry while growing your own career.

Rubix UK has a commitment to doing things differently for our colleagues and customers.

Today, Rubix Group is the clear market leader with a presence in 23 markets and sales of €3.15bn in 2023. Our customers include some of the biggest names in manufacturing, the SMEs that form the backbone of industry and everything in-between.

More than a mover of boxes, we use our specialist knowledge and technical expertise to deliver products and services that keep production lines moving.

Right now, across Europe there are 9,000 of us and counting. We’ve disrupted and we have grown, but we’re not finished yet.
