About the role

Job Description:

Associate Product Manager

Schneider Electric is seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our sustainability software product organization during an exciting period of transformation.

This entry-level role develops foundational product management skills through hands-on work across our software portfolio. You will be embedded in at least one product team, gaining exposure to the full product management lifecycle in a supporting role under the guidance of a senior Product Manager. Depending on business needs, you may also contribute to cross-team coordination and other initiatives that extend beyond your core product team assignment.

What will you do?

As a member of our software product team, you will:

Product Team Support (Core)

Every APM is embedded in at least one product team, working alongside a senior Product Manager to gain hands-on experience across the full product management lifecycle. In this supporting role, you will:

Conduct discovery and prototyping work, including drafting PRDs, user stories, and building rapid prototypes leveraging AI tools to accelerate documentation while maintaining quality.

Perform user and market research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, competitive analysis) that directly informs product strategy and roadmap decisions.

Synthesize research findings into actionable artifacts (reports, dashboards, insight libraries) that enable your product team to move faster.

Support product testing and validation efforts to ensure features meet customer needs before and after release.

Contribute to low-complexity commercial support activities including customer enablement, feature launch support, and adoption initiatives.

Cross-Team Coordination (As Needed)

Depending on business needs, part of your capacity may be directed toward work that extends beyond your core product team. These responsibilities may fluctuate over time and can include:

Maintaining visibility across product team roadmaps to develop a broad understanding of team topology and interdependencies.

Identifying cross-team dependencies, common themes, and potential conflicts or bottlenecks, flagging them early to support proactive planning.

Supporting roadmap documentation management and explicit tracking of cross-team dependencies.

Providing flexible capacity that can be directed to strategic priorities across any team as organizational needs shift.

Partnering with Product Managers to scope research and coordination needs, ensuring work is directly tied to product decisions and business outcomes.

Contributing to Organizational Evolution

Embrace and champion AI-augmented workflows across all PM activities, from problem exploration and discovery synthesis to PRD creation, prototype generation, and market analysis.

Experiment with new ways of working as the organization continuously evolves product development processes and engineering practices.

Share learnings, document best practices, and contribute to team-wide improvements in process and practice.

Collaborate effectively with engineering teams as they adopt new development tools and AI-powered workflows.
