Job Summary

Significant hands-on experience in Raincode ecosystem (Raincode Batch Raincode QIX VSAMSQL Record Editor Catalog Explorer) and strong past experience in re-platforming from Mainframe to Raincode on Azure Should have knowledge around integrating or setting up products like scheduler MQ security etc. in a Raincode environment Should have prior exposure to different types of modernization projects such as rehosting re-platforming refactoring etc.

Responsibilities

Drive end to end solution architecture that integrates Azure services with existing mainframe landscapes to ensure secure and scalable hybrid environments that meet demanding business needs.

Design robust mainframe and Raincode based solution architectures that integrate CA7 workload automation iDash with CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol components to meet demanding availability and performance targets for critical business workloads.

Design modernization blueprints that leverage Raincode Platform to transform Cobol and mainframe workloads into cloud optimized services while minimizing disruption to critical business operations.

Analyze complex CICS transaction flows and associated VSAM data structures to define target architectures that improve reliability throughput and observability for core processing systems.

Define end to end batch and online processing flows using CA7 workload automation iDash schedules and dependencies to optimize resource utilization reduce processing windows and improve overall throughput across hybrid environments.

Analyze complex existing mainframe ecosystems and Raincode based modernization landscapes to identify architectural gaps technical debt and improvement opportunities that enhance stability scalability and maintainability.

Review and optimize JCL CICS transactions VSAM file structures and DB2 database designs to improve response times data integrity and operational efficiency while maintaining strict compliance with enterprise standards.

Collaborate with cross functional teams including application developers operations specialists and infrastructure engineers to translate business requirements into detailed mainframe and Raincode centric solution designs.

Provide expert guidance on CA7 workload automation iDash configuration forecasting and reporting capabilities to ensure accurate scheduling proactive issue detection and effective capacity planning in day shift operations.

Develop reference architectures patterns and reusable components for Cobol DB2 CICS VSAM and Raincode solutions that promote consistency lower implementation risk and accelerate delivery for future initiatives.

Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments for proposed changes to batch schedules mainframe utilities and online transaction flows and define mitigation strategies that protect production stability and data quality.

Oversee performance tuning activities across CA7 schedules JCL steps DB2 queries CICS regions and Raincode services to achieve measurable improvements in system responsiveness and resource consumption.

Guide teams in applying secure coding and configuration practices for Cobol modules mainframe utilities and Raincode components to reduce vulnerabilities safeguard sensitive data and support regulatory obligations.

Coordinate root cause analysis for complex production incidents related to CA7 workload automation iDash mainframe utilities or Raincode integrations and drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions that strengthen platform resilience.

Document architectural decisions solution blueprints runbooks and technical standards in clear and reusable formats to support efficient knowledge sharing onboarding and long term maintainability.

Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate new requirements and modernization opportunities and to propose architecture options that align technology roadmaps with organizational objectives and societal impact goals.

Qualifications

Showcase extensive experience in architecting and implementing solutions on mainframe platforms using Cobol JCL CICS VSAM DB2 and mainframe utilities with a consistent record of delivering stable and scalable applications.

Demonstrate deep hands on proficiency with CA7 workload automation iDash including design of complex batch schedules event management forecasting and optimization of batch windows for enterprise scale operations.

Exhibit proven exposure to the Raincode platform with the ability to design or support modernized mainframe workloads ensuring compatibility performance and operational efficiency in hybrid deployment models.

Bring strong analytical and problem solving abilities with a history of diagnosing intricate production issues across batch and online systems and implementing durable resolutions that reduce recurring incidents.
